Privacy & site terms

If you submit the newsletter form, we store your email address, signup time, consent version and a protected removal token in the site database. The list is pending launch. No newsletter emails are being sent and no email provider receives these details at this stage. We plan to invite you to confirm before regular newsletters begin.

A private removal link appears after a new signup. Keep it to delete your email from the interest list. To limit automated submissions, we store a temporary hashed request identifier and attempt count. These records expire after two hours and are cleared on later signup requests. Your newsletter email is not published or included in shared plans.

Saved activities

Saved activity identifiers are stored in this browser using local storage. Day-plan drafts and saved itineraries are also stored locally. Your light or dark theme preference and selected activity comparison are also stored in this browser. They are not synced to an account or sent by this site to a database. Shared plan links include the plan title, optional date and itinerary in the URL fragment; anyone you share the link with and who has access to the website can read a copy. Do not put private information in plan names or custom stops. Clear them from the saved page or your browser settings.

Optional location and shared shortlists

When you tap Find ideas near me, your browser asks permission for location. Coordinates are used only in this tab to calculate approximate straight line distances. This site does not store them or send them to a server. Shared shortlist links contain activity identifiers in the URL fragment; they are snapshots and contain no account details.

Listing briefs

The listing brief form creates a local text download. It does not transmit the information you enter. Do not include sensitive information in a listing brief.

External services and affiliate links

Venue, map and booking links open third-party websites with their own privacy policies and terms. Melbscape does not set a Viator cookie before you choose a Viator link. After you leave Melbscape, the booking provider may process technical information and use its own cookies or tracking to attribute a booking under its privacy policy. Tracked booking links include Melbscape’s partner, media and campaign identifiers in the URL. The hosting service may process technical request information needed to deliver and protect this site. When you open the planner map, map tiles are requested from OpenStreetMap, which receives technical request information such as your IP address and the page origin. No third-party advertising pixels or analytics are configured on Melbscape. Newsletter signup is disabled in this static website copy.

Using activity information

Information is for planning and may change after its checked date. Verify prices, opening times, conditions and suitability with the venue or booking provider. Melbscape does not process bookings or payments. Purchases are made with the relevant provider under that provider’s terms, including its cancellation and support policies.

Before public commercial launch

The operator’s legal identity, contact details, complaint process and final privacy notice must be added before a public commercial launch, newsletter delivery or payments.
